Age/Year: sixteen/sixth

Sample: Trying to find the source of the soft mewing, he glanced around at the ground once more. Still nothing but the grass and a few leaves- no black or white fur that would show him where Sadie was. Somehow, she had managed to run out of the dorm and follow Mackenzie outside. He had just heard her, and wanted to find her before she wondered off towards the Forbidden Forest. That wouldn't be too good, now would it? Then he would have to try to find a small cat that liked to enjoy exploring, and was too curious for her own good. Like they said, curiosity killed the cat, and he was sure that would happen in she wandered into the forest.
He heard the meowing again, and groaned. Sadie was one of those types of cats that enjoyed to push people's buttons, and she sure knew how to annoy Mackenzie. Meowing, she walked smugly along a branch before she reached a part that was too fragile and small to hold her wait. It cracked, and she quickly backed up against the tree, her tail twitching. Part of the branch was now broken off, and had managed to fall in Mackenzie's sight. Glancing at it, he looked up at the tree where he got a glimpse of white hair before she scurried to another limb. Sighing, he looked at the tree, seeing if he could reach where she had managed to climb. Not by standing, but maybe if he could just get hold of a few sturdy limbs and climb up a little, he would be able to reach her. That had problems though, seeing as he wasn't the best of climbers. Plus, when he reached her, he'd probably be too afraid to let go of the tree to grab her.
Taking a deep breath, he grabbed hold of one of the branches, and slowly lifted himself up until he could put his foot on one of the lower ones. Sadie watched silently, as if she were doubting that he could get up high enough. He was starting to doubt himself, too. Once he had managed to get close enough to the young cat, he hesitantly let go of the branch with one hand to grab her. When he moved his hand towards her, she jumped though, and he tried to grab her but ended up losing his balance. He began to fall, and it was too late to try to grab on with the other hand. Landing on the ground with a thud, Sadie walked over to him and began purring, rubbing her head against his face.
